Quebec Election: PCQ Breakout.

People aren't generally spreading the word that they're for the Quebec Conservatives -- just like what happened last time with the CAQ. Their election caught a lot of people off guard.

So we sense the building of PCQ momentum, which went down recently but seemingly in the end did not peak too soon. Recent polls have the PCQ at anywhere between 16 and 20 percent. Previously, one poll had them as high as 24 percent.

It's starting to look like Duhaime will be at least Leader of the Opposition if his support holds all the way to October 3. But could the CAQ actually collapse? You bet it could -- quite literally anything could happen -- and if it does, Éric Duhaime will find himself as the next Premier of Quebec. Don't bet the farm on it, but don't rule it out either.
