A case in point: USMCA with Canada and Mexico. As I predicted a year ago, Trump has now fast-tracked a bilateral with Mexico while he feigns indifference and let's Canada twist in the wind.
Well fuck him! Canada isn't one of those Trump pussy democracies who would rather lick his ass for what can best be described as an inferior, médiocre deal. If Canada wanted mediocre, we would have elected Trump but I digress.
Canada's job is to hunker down and wait for the American multinational and business lobby to threaten to cut off corporate donations. As soon as that happens, and it will, Trump will suddenly find a new and boundless enthusiasm for reaching a deal.
No, Canada won't be calling and begging for forgiveness, especially not an asshole like him. It won't happen even in his dreams. If there's a deal, there will only be one when American big business cries uncle and North American integration practically guarantees it. Canada's job is to wait Trump out at least for a while and watch Trump do what he does "best": whine and play the undeserving, perrenial victim of bad, old, mean, and unfair Canada.
