Their collective brilliance goes something like this: if you're deferential to Trump, kiss his ass enough and cave on Canadian sovereignty, sure, you can get a deal with that POS. Just fucking bend over and let Trump ram that broomstick home until the dutiful Canadian cries uncle.
Can anyone possibly be more moronic? Trump is only about himself. He doesn't give a shit about the United States. All he cares about is his personal grifting -- what's in it for him and, allegedly, his entire despicable family.
In Trump's demented mind, the only good deal with Canada is one where Carney, Poilièvre or anyone else caves across the board. That's your typical Trump deal. In what passes for what is left of Trump's mind, he has to win while the other side loses. That's the only type of deal Trump will ever sign. And his word will amount to nothing as he breaks his word and moves the goalpost even after signing a deal as soon as it's in his self-interest. Who the fuck do you think negotiated USMCA, said it was the greatest trade deal ever negotiated to that point and then set out deliberately to destroy it? POS, Trump that is.
Some of these clowns quite literally are willing to enthusiastically lick his ass and balls to get a deal. Any deal. But I've got news for you bozos: that ain't happening and never will as long as any Canadian prime minister has a modicum of self-respect and advocacy for this country.
Trump wants a bilateral that sees the United States win, while Canada inevitably loses. That's all that's potentially on the table. Nothing else. And even a lightweight like Carney will never shame Canada and disrespect her citizens by signing a garbage deal just to give Trump the upper hand. What a bunch of laughable, sell-out stooges. Even PP isn't that stupid. How fortunate for the rest of us.
